Grading
The other day some faculty were talking in the staff lounge in FOSS about
grades and grade policies, and I mentioned a resource I find very useful.
Folks asked me to forward it so I am. It's a table from the UW's Faculty
Resource on Grading that translates number grades on the 4.0 scale into
narrative statements about student's performance and chances for success in
future classes in the field. I refer to it at those times when I find myself
losing sight of the forest for the trees.
Here's the [1] Sample Grade Guideline itself.

Here's the main page for the [2] Faculty Resource on Grading (or FROG).

I also like their page called [3]Plan to Grade.
