AN UPDATE ABOUT ON CAMPUS PARKING
With the completion of the 2900 building construction, the parking in that area is back to its original capacity. The parking against the building and directly across from the building is for faculty/staff. The parking along the roadway on both sides is for students.

The visitor lot has been changed to two hour parking for visitors only. Employees and students who park there will receive a ticket. Visitors who will be here for longer than 2 hours can get a visitor permit from our office for the day. There is an exception for disabled people in the visitor lot. Students or employees with a valid disabled placard or plate and a valid Shoreline permit can park in the visitor lot for the day.

Other changes have been made to parking to accommodate the traffic flow during the day. Please be aware that 419 spaces are now allocated to employee parking. If you have any questions, please contact Becky Gibler at bgibler@shoreline.edu.

CATCH OF THE DAY
Just as the phrase says, receiving a "Catch of the Day" gold card means a colleague wants to thank you for doing a great job. Everyone at Shoreline is eligible to receive these cards--and if you collect eight, bring them or send them to Michele Foley in the President's Office to receive a coupon for a free Whidbey's beverage of your choice! Each card includes the name of the recipient as well as the staff member bestowing the "Catch"--and room for a brief description of what was observed.

PRESIDENT MOORE ANNOUNCES NEW SERVICE AWARDS
In addition to the traditional annual employee recognition for 20,25,30 and 35 years of service, President Moore has asked that a program to recognize those employees who have worked 5, 10 and 15 years begin this year.  All employees who have worked at SCC for more than five years will receive a special pin and recognition at the Opening Week All-campus Meeting for their many years of service to the College.  This will be the roll-out year for this program so we are playing "catch up."  All employees in each category will be given their award this year.

For example if you have been at the College for five to nine years, you will receive a 5-YEAR pin, for those who have worked 10-14 years, a 10-YEAR pin, and 15-19 years, a 15-YEAR pin. A letter is being sent by HR to all employees who will receive this new service award.

On Tuesday, September 21st, at the All-campus Meeting, please pick up your pin with your name tag at a special table by the lobby of the theater.  President Holly Moore will recognize 5-year, 10-year, and 15-year service award recipients in their various groups.
