The Rainbow Club is sponsoring two movies leading up to Judy Shepard's lecture on Jan. 29. The Matthew Shepard Story (1/27) tells the story of Matthew's life and tragic death, and his family's reaction. The Laramie Project (1/29) attempts to shed light on this vicious hate crime by exploring the attitudes of community members in Laramie, Wyoming.

In October 1998, Judy Shepard lost her 21 year-old son, Matthew, to a murder inspired by anti-gay hate. Her ordeal moved thousands of people across America to attend vigils and rallies in Matthew's honor. Determined to prevent their son's fate from befalling other people, Judy and her husband, Dennis, established The Matthew Shepard Foundation to help in the prevention of hate crimes. General admission is $10, $7 for and seniors and faculty and staff, and $5 for children 14 and younger and SCC students with college ID.

Come continue the discussion about how all of us at Shoreline can use learning principles in our work situations. The discussion will center on several scenarios and case studies.
