REVISED COLLEGE STUDENT PROGRESS POLICY GUIDELINES (June 1, 2006)
In 2003 the legislature passed E2SSB 5135, requiring state baccalaureate institutions and community/technical colleges to develop local policies to ensure that undergraduates complete degree or certificate programs in a timely manner. A statewide work group has been analyzing data and evaluating this process and have revised the guidelines based on their evaluation. They determined that the previous process called for an extensive amount of monitoring and intervention strategies that did not match individual student's developmental needs. Colleges are now encouraged to focus on comprehensive strategies that promote student success.>Click for Report
