NWCCU Evaluators:
Draft 5.0 of the revised standards for accreditation is available for
review and comment. As an active NWCCU evaluator you have an opportunity to
comment on the penultimate version of the proposed standards. The deadline
for receipt of comments is October 16, 2009. Feedback may be emailed to:
standards@nwccu.org
or mailed to: Standards Review, NWCCU, 8060 165th Avenue NE,
Suite 100, Redmond, WA 98052. If you prefer, you may also respond by email
directly to me at
rbaker@nwccu.org.
By November 2, 2009, the
final version of the revised standards will be posted to
Commission’s website.
NWCCU will hold a series of
regional meetings
in Seattle (November 6), Salt Lake City (November 10), Bozeman (November
13), and Portland (November 20) to review the final version of the revised
standards prior to a vote of the membership later this year. Hotel
information and online meeting registration are available via the
Regional Meetings
link on the
Standards Revision
section of the
Commission website.
A number of documents
are available via the ribbon bar on the
Standards Revision
website to assist you in reviewing the revised standards. In addition to
documents related to the conversion from the decennial oversight process to
the septennial oversight process, an

is provided as an overarching statement of the philosophy and structure of
the revised standards and oversight process.
